Anoche tuvo lugar la 68ª edición de los premios a la excelencia televisiva: los Emmy. Parece que no ha habido grandes sorpresas respecto a lo que se esperaba. De esta forma, las claras ganadoras de la noche fueron Veep como mejor serie de comedia y Juego de Tronos como mejor drama.
No obstante, aquí no termina el triunfo de la ficción de HBO. Tras esta noche, la serie David Benioff y D.B. Weiss se ha convertido en la serie más galardonada de la historia de los Emmy. Hablamos de un total de 12 premios, 9 en las categorías creativas y 3 en las principales. Sin embargo, no todo ha sido Juego de Tronos, sigue leyendo porque te traemos el listado completo de ganadores.
Tras los premios de anoche, Juego de Tronos acumula en sus vitrinas 38 premios Emmy conseguidos a lo largo de sus seis temporadas. De esta manera, bate el récord que hasta ahora ostentaba Frasier, con 37 galardone en 11 temporadas.
La serie de HBO ha tenido que enfrentarse a grandes obras como House of Cards, Mr. Robot o Downton Abbey. A pesar de haber conseguido vencer como serie a estos importantes contrincantes, sus actores no han tenido tanta suerte. Kit Harington y Peter Dinklage no han conseguido alzarse como Mejor Actor de Reparto, premio que ha ido a parar a manos de Ben Mendelson por Bloodline; y ni Maisie Williams, Emilia Clarke ni Lena Haedey han conseguido el equivalente femenino, siendo la agraciada Maggie Smith por Downton Abbey.
A parte de Juego de Tronos, también han destacado en esta edición de los Emmy la ya mencionada Veep y The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story de Ryan Murphy, que ha conseguido 5 galardones. Entre ellos el perteneciente a Sarah Paulson como Mejor Actriz Principal, el de Courtney B. Vance como Mejor Actor principal y el de Stearling K. Brown como Mejor Actor de Reparto. Además, ha sido premiada como mejor miniserie y mejor guion por el capítulo 1×06: Marcia, Marcia, Marcia.
Importante destacar también el premio de Mejor Actriz de drama a Tatiana Maslany. Muchos llevábamos años pidiendo este galardón por su brillante interpretación de multitud de clones en la serie de BBC America, Orphan Black.
